All on 4 / 6 implant systems are an advanced implant treatment method that allows the replacement of missing teeth in completely edentulous jaws with fixed prostheses. This treatment supports full dental prostheses by using fewer implants compared to traditional implant treatments. It is ideal especially for patients who do not have sufficient bone density in the jaw. While traditional methods require one implant for each tooth, with All on 4 / 6 systems, it is sufficient to place only four or six implants in a single jaw. In this way, treatment time is shortened and costs are reduced.

Differences Between All-on-4 and All-on-6

  • All on 4 Implant System: This system provides the fixation of full jaw prostheses with four implants. It is usually preferred for the lower jaw because the bone density in the lower jaw is generally higher and four implants can provide sufficient support.
  • All on 6 Implant System: It is a more suitable option for the upper jaw, as the bone structure in the upper jaw is usually softer and two additional implants are required for extra support. This system provides greater stability and helps to achieve better results in the upper jaw.

Advantages of All on 4 / 6 Implant Systems

  1. Fast Treatment Process: All on 4 / 6 implant systems offer much faster results than traditional implant methods. Implants can be placed and temporary prosthetics can be attached on the same day, allowing patients to return to normal life in a short time.
  2. Minimal Surgery: Because these systems require only four or six implants, surgical intervention to the jawbone is minimal, which both speeds up recovery time and reduces the risk of complications.
  3. Low Cost: Using fewer implants reduces the cost of treatment. Compared to traditional methods, All on 4 / 6 systems offer a more affordable option.
  4. Natural Appearance and Function: Implants function like natural tooth roots. The prosthetics placed on them mimic the aesthetics and function of natural teeth. In this way, patients achieve a satisfactory result in terms of both aesthetics and functionality.
  5. Long-Lasting Solution: All on 4 / 6 systems offer a permanent solution that can be used for a lifetime with proper care. The stability provided by the implants fusing to the bone allows the prostheses to be used safely for many years.

Who is it suitable for?

  • Completely Edentulous Patients: All on 4 / 6 implant systems are an ideal solution for patients who have no teeth left in their jaws. This system provides fixed and aesthetic prostheses in place of lost teeth.
  • Patients with Severely Damaged Teeth: Patients whose teeth have been severely damaged due to severe decay, trauma or periodontal disease can also benefit from this treatment method.
  • Patients with Low Bone Density: All on 4 / 6 systems can be applied even in cases where bone density is insufficient. Procedures such as bone grafting required in traditional implant applications are generally made unnecessary with this method.
  • Patients Requiring Extensive Tooth Extractions: For patients requiring multiple tooth extractions, this system offers both tooth extraction and implant placement on the same day.

Treatment Process

  1. Initial Examination and Planning: The treatment process begins with a comprehensive examination. At this stage, the jaw structure, bone density and gum health are evaluated. The most appropriate treatment plan is created according to the patient’s needs. The dentist plans in detail the areas where the implants will be placed and the design of the prostheses.
  2. Implant Placement: After planning, implants are surgically placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia. This is done using minimally invasive techniques, and temporary dentures are usually placed the same day.
  3. Healing Process: Implants require a certain amount of time to fuse with the bone. During this time, the patient can continue their daily life with temporary prosthetics. It usually takes 3 to 6 months for implants to fully integrate with the bone.
  4. Placement of Permanent Dentures: After the healing process is complete, permanent fixed dentures are placed. These dentures are almost identical to natural teeth in terms of aesthetics and provide high functional performance.
  5. Final Checks and Maintenance: After the permanent dentures are placed, the patient should visit the dentist regularly. These checks are important to monitor the condition of the implants and dentures and to detect potential problems early. In addition, the patient is given detailed information about implant care.
